Pre-Placement
Health Screening
Pre-Placement Health Screening | LATUS
Pre-placement health screening is a
crucial part of the occupational health
process,
conducted
before
a
new
employee starts their job. A pre-placement
health screening will determine if the
individual's health is compatible with the
demands and potential hazards of the
specific role.
It can also uncover pre-existing conditions
that could be aggravated by the job or
pose a safety risk to the employee or
others. It establishes a baseline health
assessment and provides guidance on
workplace health and safety.
What to expect:
Health Questionnaire: A detailed questionnaire covering medical history, lifestyle
factors, and any current health concerns.
Physical Examination: Depending on the role this can include Vision and Hearing
tests, assessing Blood Pressure and Vital Signs, as well as Musculoskeletal assessments.
Benefits of Screening
Reduced workplace accidents and injuries.
Improved employee morale and productivity
Lowered insurance costs and workers' compensation claims.
Enhanced employer reputation and social responsibility.
Compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
